I had been wanting to go camping all summer, and finally the last weekend of August we planned a two-night campout way up in the high Uintahs. We've never camped there before, but it ended up being an awesome little vacation. I'm glad we did two nights.
Some trip highlights:
-seeing a moose in the camp ground early in the morning
-lots of fishing and exploring in the woods
-the best dinner in the history of camping (seriously, it was amazingly delicious)
-family hike (turns out Lia loves hiking and Eleanor hates it)
-breathtaking scenery everywhere
-perfect weather
-the kids got super dirty and loved it
-stopping by the Provo River Falls on our way home

We did have a few mishaps-- like when our dog found a decaying fish and decided to roll around in it. DISGUSTING. Dogs are gross. But overall it was a great trip. And since Lia is now four and a half, I wouldn't be surprised if this is the first family campout she has real memories of. That would be cool.
