One Year!

My Eleanor turned one year old today! What a crazy, crazy year it has been. More on that in a later post though. This post is all about that little munchkin we like to call Enna Boo Boo.

Eleanor is so much fun! She keeps us laughing. She likes to spin in circles making strange noises. She likes to take toys or other things and run off with them laughing. She gets this awesome mischievous look in her eyes and slowly backs away grinning until you chase her. She likes to peek around the door or wall of whatever room you're in and wait until you see her, then giggle and hide, and then peek again. She thinks Lia is hilarious.

Enna is a pretty good eater. She loves most kinds of  noodles. Her most recent favorites are peanut butter sandwiches and grilled cheese sandwiches. She loves feeding herself but it's usually a pretty messy ordeal! I sometimes have to change her into her clothes after her breakfast mess, change her again after her lunch mess, and then change her into her pajamas after the dinner mess. She loves apple juice in a sippy cup but thinks plain water is disgusting.
Mmmm, sweet potatoes
Eleanor loves bath time and naptime. My girls have both been awesome nappers, and I love it. She loves playing outside and runs for the door as soon as she realizes it's open. She likes to be independent and wander around on her own, but she usually stops, looks back, and holds up her hand for someone to come take it and walk with her. After a few steps, she lets go and runs ahead again.

She is getting better at keeping in her hearing aid without having to have her pilot cap on, but she still thinks it's funny to pull out the hearing aid and hand it to me. At least she doesn't try to eat it anymore. Her therapists came to do a 6-month assessment and she scored way above average in every area. She's a smarty.
She pretty much wanted nothing to do with her cake at her party today.
Lately Eleanor has developed a real attitude about getting her own way. She has discovered how to throw tantrums and boy does she like them! Her way of throwing a tantrum is screaming and then bending over until her head is touching the ground and her bum is in the air. Then she falls over sideways and rolls back and forth, arching her back and yelling. I probably shouldn't laugh, but it is so funny.

We love our Eleanor girl. It's hard to believe it has already been a year since she joined our family. Happy Birthday Enna!
